Hi Einart,

The handling and breaking performance of your Kadett is great (as we all know ) , but the escort seams to have more power, nice battle.
I geuss the escort has a 16V 2L engine ?

Is that a two liter OHC 8 valve engine in your coupé ? I can't recognize the head and rocker cover properly, or is it top secret ?

2 liter, maar kun jij die kop plaatsen, oftewel wat is dit voor kop / blok, vooral het kleppendeksel kan ik niet thuisbrengen, en de kop is ook geen normale 1800 of 2L achtkleps crossflow kop

hello, it is not my car, but a guy from norway that driving in historic racing, yes some of the escort have some more power than the kadett,., i think it was a 1,9L that is modefied to 2.0l, i don`t remember.. its a CIH engine , and the head all i know its a crossflow head and 16v.. the head is the same that they prodused in 1970, but this is prodused in better quality he write on another forum. its a funny car

are u sure it's a 16V, because i see only 2 dents on each piston, and the head is quite narrow for a 16V

that is a good question, i tought i see it self..only i can read in his project tread that it is a 16 v head..hmm but it looks like a 8v, maybe it is a 8v and the escort have 16v and i read wrong, i will ask him about that if its a 16v or 8v and come back with answer on that later

thank you, i'm very angstious to know what kind of engine this is, i'm into tuning myself, trying to get around 100 HP out of a 1200 OHV engine.

It was a 8v head the escorts have 16v he told, maybe thats the reason to some of them it`s faster some place on the tracks.

oh cool, it funny if you can get out something like that power of a 1200 ohv without turbo ?

But I still don't know from wich engine this head and rocker cover is, it's at some point different from the OHC 8V head and rocker cover .....

erny het is een crosflow kop

het zo iets als corworth soort tunnings deel voor je auto
en komt volgens mij uit de racerij net zoals een swedenkop dat is een kop gemaakt voor de rally(teams)

kijk, een speciaal ontwikkelde kop voor de racerij, dus die ga ik niet ergens in een sloop auto oid vinden

Some bad crashes from the last race, now he must rebuild it again , one escort hit him from behind. and on the frontfender the kadett hit another escort inside right rearfender backplate in a turn from a driver with beginner skills.
